Time Flies and Things Change

Wow... This was one of the first images I took with my New DSLR when I started studying Photography at CDIA BU.  When I look back, I can't believe how things change with time. You see this is My Little Big Girl.  Well, she's not so little anymore, actually she is way taller than me now.  I Love her to pieces but then, If you follow my blog at all you know how much my own children make thier apperances.  It's a mother's love =) I just can't help myself.

Anyway, back to the photographs. I love going back into the multiple hard drives that I have and find older photographs that I can now make look way better with everything I've learned.  Remember I hadn't even begun my studies and this was the very first project. We had to get as many faces as possible.  I am posting the original Raw image. (really bad I know-.-) The purpose is so you can see what I have done with the image. Yes it's the same exact image in Raw. I have just worked on it and have applied different treatments to it. I am very happy with the results all of them ;)

This is SOC and very badly exposed, I know ;) But, Hey! Cut me some slack I was a newbie ;)

This has my Glamour Color treatment applied to it in Photoshop.

I love creamy warm tones, so this has an aged, faded Photo effect.

Black & White. I Love the Black & White because when I look at the image, my eye goes directly to the most important part of the image. In this case, as the project stated, her FACE.

By the way, this is while we were at the doctors office. She wasn't too happy about it. These were the days when I refused to put my camera down, It was attached to me ;)  So yes, I photographed my child while we waited for the Doc ;)

Happy Wednesday!!

Edge....

During this summer my son spent a few days with me.. It doesn't happen very often. He's a City Boy, and refers to my house in the suburbs as The Cave.  He wanted some images that would represent his style.  I hope I did well enough for his liking. I say this, not because I am not sure of my work but because he likes very edgy and is sometimes hard to please ;)

So just improvising we went in search of a location with very little time. So even though he was taking "just one more phone call ma" I started shooting.  After doing a little post production, I figured out that I CAN do Edgy...

I Love My Boy Edgy and All I hope he always remembers that. =)

Creativity...

In the Photography industry there is always a class to take, And something new to learn. I'll take it as much of it as I can get. I've been catching up with Sue Bryce's Blog. So Much Inspiration there. I am a Glamour Girl. So it's not surprising that I immediately fell in Love with her work.

Many Thanks to the folks over at Creative Live for the introduction. After all the education I felt like I am not doing enough creatively.

So, here are some thoughts on why I have been unproductive.  It's been one rough year for me. I have had to endure many personal changes.  I have spent most of the summer not doing much for work, but focusing on my kids and my home. Getting ready for new things.  Trying to figure things out and Prioritze.  I had a friend tell me that no one can fault me, if My Priorities are in order ;) Thanks for that.

I'm currently trying to set something up creatively and it's not that easy to bring everything together collaboratively.  I'll keep trying, Keeping in Mind that Being a Creative Artist was my dream my whole life. I always wanted to create images like the ones I do and I am proud of my work.  The truth be told I have created some things throughout this (ahem) dry spell. I have just been holding back for some reason I haven't quite figured out yet. Blogpost to follow.....

I saw this this morning and realized it is so true. Sometimes you just see something....

I am determined to not let this dry spell mess with my creativity....So here publicly, I promise to be more creative and produce more creative work.

HAPPY MONDAY!!!
